WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are looking for a person they say crashed into an unmarked police vehicle, a civilian car and drove the wrong way on US-421 during a high-speed chase, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
On Nov. 5, police were doing a follow-up investigation on someone with outstanding warrants when they found the suspect on the 1300 block of North Liberty Street near 14th Street.
Officers said they tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the suspect hit an unmarked police vehicle and drove away, starting a chase. No officers were hurt.
The case was briefly terminated due to safety reasons. Later, the suspect hit a civilian car on 1st Street. Luckily, the driver of that car was uninjured, police said.
