AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Aiken Department of Public Safety responded Wednesday to a bank robbery at Southern Bank, 108 Barnwell Ave. NE.

Officials say around 4:30 p.m., bank employees provided officers with a description of the subject and vehicle.

Within minutes, officers located the vehicle, performed a traffic stop and arrested the suspect, according to the news release.

Officials say additional details, including information on the suspect, will be released later.
