PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A two-vehicle crash has caused U.S. 35 South to close, according to Putnam County dispatch.

The West Virginia Division of Highways says the crash happened at mile marker 8, causing the southbound road to close.

Traffic is detouring off at mile marker 12 to WV-869, which is near the Buffalo Bridge Exit, to WV-8178 near Winfield Road, dispatch said.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is currently handling the incident.

No other information is known at this time.
