A Fairbanks man was convicted by a jury on two counts of first-degree murder on Tuesday, according to an Alaska Department of Law news release.
Joshua Bell, 23, was arrested for the Aug. 7, 2022, execution-style murders of Ricardo Duperior, 28, and Rachael Wright, 18.
According to court documents, Bell shot the victims at a Birchwood Homes residence in the early hours of Aug. 7, 2022.
Bell wasn’t the only suspect arrested and tried for the deaths of Duperior and Wright.
Bell had entered the home, shot and killed Duperior, and then “entered the garage and subsequently executed Wright as she lay in bed,” according to the news release.
Bell then dumped two firearms into a vault toilet at the Tanana Lakes Recreation Area.
