SHREVEPORT, La. - Once again, the 2025 ArkLaTex Agricultural Council 's Jr. Livestock Sale at the State Fair of Louisiana was a huge success. It's estimated that supporters spent more than $500,000 at the sale on Wednesday.
The Grand Champion Steer was raised by Lily Williams from Keithville and sold for $21,000. The senior at Calvary High School also earned Grand Champion Pen of Broilers, and Grand Champion Market Goat. The auction is the culmination of months of hard work by thousands of students across the state involved in 4-H and FFA.
