BLUEWATER – A few Bluewater bylaws that have been identified by council as local priorities may soon be enforced proactively.
A motion was passed during council’s Nov. 3 regular meeting directing staff to update to the municipality’s bylaw enforcement complaint policy. which will include a priority list of bylaws that would be enforced proactively.

Under the current policy, most of Bluewater’s bylaws are enforced with a complaint-based reactive strategy, meaning impacted residents need to go through the bylaw complaint process when issues arise.
But if council implements a new list of bylaws that would be proactively enforced, bylaws could be enforced without complaints.
