Owen Sound continues to grow its reputation as one of the province’s premier hockey towns with Hockey Fest 2025 set to take place next week.

The multi-day hockey extravaganza will take place from Nov. 13 to Nov. 15 in several city locations.

The Scenic City’s annual event builds on the success of past hockey-centred community celebrations, including the broadcast of CBC’s Hockey Day in Canada from the Good Cheer Rink in Harrison Park in 2023.

The festivities kick off on Thursday, Nov. 13, with a showdown between two local high schools at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre as the boys’ and girls’ teams from Owen Sound District Secondary School and Grey Highlands Secondary School face off.

The girls’ game begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the boys’ game at 12:
