South Bruce Grey Health Centre is expanding outpatient services at its Durham hospital to include a cardiology clinic, pediatric mental health services and a hip and knee replacement clinic.

“There is very high demand for all of these services in our areas, so this will be a welcome addition not onlt for the Durham site, but for the entire region,” SBHGHC president and CEO Nancy Shaw said in a news release on Tuesday. “We are thrilled to be able to support the delivery of these specialized services closer to home, minimizing travel for patients and families.”

The new cardiology clinic, beginning this month, will be supported by Dr. Gerard Shoemaker and Dr. Lorne Gula from London Health Sciences Centre.
