Aston Villa will look to get back to winning ways in the Europa League when they host Maccabi Tel Aviv at Villa Park on Thursday night.
Villa began their Europa League campaign strongly with victories over Bologna and Feyenoord, but their perfect record came to an end two weeks ago when they surrendered a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 away to Go Ahead Eagles. Unai Emery’s side responded with a 1-0 Premier League win over Manchester City at home, but costly errors led to a 2-0 defeat at Liverpool last weekend. As a result, Villa currently sit 11th in the Premier League, just four points off second place.
