DENVER (KDVR) -- One person is dead and another was booked into jail after a head-on crash on Highway 135 on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the Colorado State Patrol told FOX31 that 18-year-old Dylan Blessing Garcia was booked into the Gunnison County Jail on charges including vehicular homicide.

The crash happened near mile post 13.7 on Wednesday.

CSP said that Garcia was driving a GMC Sierra northbound and was passing another vehicle in a "clearly marked double yellow no passing zone," crashing head-on with a Ford Escape traveling south.

The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash.

Garcia was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital before being booked into jail.
