COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN)- Two local heroes are now part of the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame.

This morning in Columbus, 20 people were inducted for their outstanding post-military accomplishments. Among them, Army vet Kenneth David of Trumbull County and Jim Kerr of Columbiana County, who also served in the Army and received the award posthumously.

David is a Medal of Honor recipient. On May 7, 1970, he repeatedly exposed himself to enemy fire in Vietnam to protect wounded comrades. He now spends countless hours volunteering, serving veterans, and serving his community. Accepting the award on his behalf was his nominator, Kerry Delgato, director of the Trumbull County Veterans Service Commission.

Kerr dedicated five decades to education, conservation, and community service. He was a lifelong
