CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - Police arrested the second suspect in a deadly shooting on Virginia State University’s campus last month.
On Wednesday night, Latrell Creighton, 19, was arrested in Richmond following a tip.
Police believed Creighton’s family in Jackson, Tennessee, was helping him evade police.
Jalen Johnson has already been arrested in connection with the case .
On Oct. 4, just after 11 p.m., police responded to the 20900 block of Third Avenue near the VSU Multipurpose Center for reports of a shooting.
“Upon arrival, officers located Omarion Bryant, 20, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Bryant, of Dinwiddie, was pronounced dead on scene,” Chesterfield Police said.
Creighton has been charged with second-degree murder.
