MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) -- Three candidates will square off in a runoff election on Nov. 18 to fill two seats on the Myrtle Beach City Council, according to a city spokesperson.

The runoff between Jackie Hatley, Phil Render and Nick Vaugh will take place on Nov. 18. It was scheduled after the city's Election Commission met Thursday morning to certify the results of Tuesday's mayoral and city council races in Tuesday's General Election.

The mayor's race, which saw the city's former spokesperson Mark Kruea defeat incumbent Mayor Brenda Bethune, while Mike Lowder secured one of three seats on the city council. Kruea and the new members of council will serve four-year terms, starting in January.
