As reported by the New York Post , Mattingly — who served as bench coach during the 2025 season — isn’t retiring and is open to remaining in the major leagues.
A source confirmed to the Toronto Sun on Thursday that Mattingly is indeed moving on, but is leaving entirely on his own decision.
