Staten Island residents should prepare for cold conditions and potential frost Thursday night as temperatures are expected to dip into the lows 40s and 30s.
According to the National Weather Service forecast, Thursday will see gusty northwest winds up to 35 mph through the first half of the afternoon before gradually diminishing by evening. High temperatures will reach only the lower 50s today, about five degrees below normal. The weather service indicates winds will become light overnight as high pressure builds in from the west, creating conditions for potential frost formation with mostly clear skies.
Friday will bring a rebound in temperatures, with highs climbing into the mid-50s to around 60 degrees. Southerly winds will strengthen throughout the day, potentially gusting to 25-35
