After she named her transition team on Nov. 6, Gov.-elect Mikie Sherrill took it a step further Nov. 7 by announcing the first members of her senior staff.
In a release, Sherrill announced that Alex Ball will serve as chief of staff and Tim Lydon will serve as chief counsel.
Both worked with Sherrill during the campaign, Ball as campaign manager and Lydon as policy director and general counsel.
Ball also served as chief of staff for Sherrill in Congress and has worked for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and EMILYs List.
Lydon has been more New Jersey based having served as executive director of the New Jersey Senate Majority Office, director of cabinet affairs for Gov. Jon Corzine, and chief of staff to Rep. John Adler. He was also a judge in New Jersey Superior Cou
