RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Gov. Glenn Youngkin and Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger are meeting on Thursday afternoon.

Youngkin, a Republican, said Wednesday morning that he will work with Spanberger, a Democrat, on a smooth transition to her administration.

Spanberger won Tuesday’s election over Republican and current Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears.

Inauguration Day in Virginia is set for Saturday, Jan. 17.
