A fire may have destroyed a church building in Bangor , but the ministry and mission will continue.
Wednesday, a fire caused significant damage to the church at 125 S. Main St. The blaze took local fire companies several hours to tamp down.
Mike Harvey, founder of Gethsemane Ministries which owns the building, said the future of the building is uncertain at this point. The Morning Call reports Bangor officials have condemned the structure .
However, the ministry that operated inside the building has already found a new place to congregate.
Gethsemane Ministries, a nondenominational Christian ministry, provides music for the Sunday services at the church. Lighthouse Ministries provides the service, Harvey said.
