INDIANAPOLIS — One person was taken to a hospital after a shooting involving Fishers police on the northeast side of Indianapolis Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened around 1:20 p.m. Nov. 6 in the area of East 91st Street and Masters Road , near the Sahm Golf Course.
Fishers police detectives and SWAT team members were trying to serve an arrest warrant on a murder suspect . During that time, police said shots were fired, with one person injured and taken to the hospital. Police have not shared an update on that person's condition.
According to Fishers police, no officers were injured in the incident, and there is no threat to the community at this time.
Indiana State Police is taking over the investigation.
