KOKOMO, Ind. — Kokomo police are asking for the public's help finding a missing man.

According to the Kokomo Police Department, 42-year-old Travis Jaenicke has been missing for approximately one month and was last seen in the area of 800 East and 50 South in Greentown. Police say they took the missing police report from his family in the 1000 block of Tomahawk Boulevard .

Jaenicke is described as 5'9", 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be in need of possible medical attention.

Anyone with information on Jaenicke's whereabouts is asked to contact the Kokomo Police Department at 765-456-7017.

There are specific standards a person's disappearance must meet in order for police to declare an Amber Alert or a Silver Alert .
