VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Health Connection of Pace Community Action Agency announced they received almost double the donations in this year's Pad and Tampon Drive.
According to a news release, Health Connection was able to collect and distribute 49,124 menstrual hygiene products throughout the community. They announced that this is nearly double the amount donated from the previous year's drive. Health Connection wants to thank all those who helped make this milestone possible.
“This incredible outpouring of support truly demonstrates the compassion and unity within our community,” said Dr. Michelle Pitcher, Clinical Services Director. “Together, we are helping eliminate period poverty and promote health equity for those who need it most.”
