President Trump reacted to the news of Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s retirement by bashing his political rival as “evil” and “overrated.”

Pelosi, 85, released a video message Thursday, telling her supporters that she’ll leave the House of Representatives after 40 years when her term in Congress ends in 2027.

Trump responded to that announcement with a text message sent to Fox News .

“The retirement of Nancy Pelosi is a great thing for America,” the president said in a statement read on air by Fox News personality Peter Doocy.
