GREEN LAKE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - A truck veered off the road on Wednesday and crashed into a wooded area, causing a closure of CTH D in Green Lake County.

The sheriff’s office said the driver was flown by helicopter to the hospital. Firefighters faced extremely challenging conditions trying to get the driver out of the crushed vehicle.

Photos on the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page show a crumpled truck with a load full of scraps in the back.

The sheriff’s office is also thanking a local property owner for having the awareness to understand what had happened and calling 911.

“We are all hoping for the best possible outcome for this vehicle operator,” stated the Sheriff’s Office.
