SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - The Walk to End Alzheimer’s Sarasota will take place Saturday, November 15, at Nathan Benderson Park’s Regatta Island on the north side of the facility.
Katie Montegari, representing the event, said organizers expect more than 1,400 people to attend. Over 150 volunteers will help set up the day before and assist during the event.
“Dementia is a cause that affects over 7 million Americans. Over 20,000 individuals in Sarasota County alone,” Montegari said. “We want to support the cause. We want to bring support, resources, help with advocacy, and this is a great way to do it.”
