Tiny island in the Otonabee named for ex

Prince Andrew Island — a tiny island in the Otonabee River, in Lakefield — may soon be renamed so it no longer honours a disgraced ex-prince.

“For such a small island, there’s all of a sudden great interest in the name,” said Selwyn Township Mayor Sherry Senis, in an interview. “And yes — we are going to look into it further.”
