On a day when all of the top 15 boys’ runners set either a personal course or season record Wednesday at the Desert Empire League cross country finals, 14 of them were unable to stop Luis-Fernando Martinez from continuing his dominance in the league.
The La Quinta High School senior set a course record with a time of 15:09.55 at Xavier Prep to capture his second consecutive DEL title. It was his fourth consecutive win at a DEL meet.
