MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The 18-year-old accused in a Halloween robbery-turned-shooting inside a smoke shop on North Germantown Parkway is now facing federal charges.
Marquis Davis is charged with business robbery and the discharge of a firearm by federal prosecutors.
Locally, Davis is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, and employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Davis robbed employees at the Exotic Smoke Shop located at the Dexter Ridge Shopping Center on Friday afternoon.
While he was inside, Davis allegedly shot an employee before running out of the store.
