With peak travel season on the horizon, the Federal Aviation Administration could begin cutting flights at major U.S. airports in response to the ongoing government shutdown, according to a new report from ABC News .

The FAA first announced it would reduce flights by 10% at 40 major airports on Wednesday, but did not provide details about which ones, CNN reported.

According to ABC News, a source provided a preliminary list of the transit hubs that could see thousands of flights cut each day.

All three of New York City’s major hubs — John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport — are earmarked for a reduction in flights, according to the outlet.

Additionally, Teterboro Airport in northern New Jersey could see flights cut as well,
