STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying five individuals sought for questioning in connection to a robbery within the confines of the borough’s 122nd Precinct.
According to a statement by police, a 35-year-old woman was followed off of an MTA bus by five unidentified individuals around 7 p.m. on Sunday night. Those individuals allegedly pulled the victim’s hair, punched her in the face and forcibly removed her cellphone before fleeing the scene.
A source with knowledge of the investigation revealed that the bus was an s79 from Bay Ridge. The exact location of the alleged robbery was not shared by the NYPD.
The victim refused medical attention at the scene, police noted.
