This weekend, as part of their 10th anniversary lineup, the Coronado Island Film Festival (CIFF) is presenting an “Innovating for Nature” event at the Coronado Public Library. The event will include the screening of four short films (“Ramfy: The Pangolin in My Bedroom,” “Wild Hope: Building for Birds,” “Wild Hope: Significant Otters,” and “The Everglades: Beneath the Surface”) and a roundtable discussion with the filmmakers, led by director and documentarian Ricky Rhodes (Rhodes Films).

Rhodes himself has a personal connection with Coronado, as his dad grew up on the island, and he’s been a supporter of CIFF since its ideation.
