Cleveland voters reelected Mayor Justin M. Bibb for a second term in the general election on Nov. 4, according to final, unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.
Bibb received 31,446 votes, or 73.85%, while Laverne Gore got 10,686 votes, or 25.10%. There were 449 votes, or 1.05%, for write-in candidates.
“Thank you, Cleveland voters! I’m deeply honored to serve you for another four years. Together, we’re reimagining our waterfronts, investing in neighborhoods, and building a safer, stronger, more united city. Let’s keep moving forward – together,” he posted on Facebook.
Bibb won his first term in 2021 when he defeated city council president Kevin Kelley. He succeeded Mayor Frank Jackson, who served from 2005 to 2021 when he decided not to seek a fifth term.
