Highland Heights residents voted in favor of a tax levy for an additional tax for the providing and maintaining of the safety services of the city’s police, fire and EMT departments.
Voters cast 1,443 ballots, or 55.61%, in favor of the levy while 1,152, or 44.39%, voted against it.
The County Fiscal Officer estimates will collect $3,319,914 annually, at a rate not exceeding 5.9 mills for each $1 of valuation, which amounts to $207 for each $100,000 of the County Fiscal Officer’s appraised value, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2025, first due in calendar year 2026.
