The air quality of Delhi-NCR remains in the 'poor' category on Thursday (November 6), and the overall Air Quality Index stood at 264, as per the data from SAFAR. Visuals from several areas showed a thick layer of smog lingering in the air, leading to reduced visibility during the morning hours. The AQI around Kartavya Path was reported at 230, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
With no improvement in the air quality in the national capital, hospitals are witnessing a surge in patients with respiratory diseases, throat infection, and itchy eyes, among others.
