A three-vehicle crash on the A96 has left five people hurt, with one person having to be cut free from the wreckage. ‌

The incident on the major road in the north of Scotland took place shortly before 4pm on Thursday, November 6. ‌

Emergency services, including police officers, paramedics, and fire crews, were alerted to a smash involving three vehicles on the A96 between Mosstodloch, Moray and Lhanbryde, Aberdeenshire. ‌

The crews immediately raced to the scene where they found five people injured. Two men were taken to hospital.

One of those who were hurt got trapped in their vehicle , and had to be pulled free using special cutting equipment.

All of those who were injured were passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service. ‌
