AUGUSTA, Ga (WJBF)- It's day 37 of the government shut down and many essential workers are still working without pay.

Two groups affected by the shut down at Augusta Regional Airport are TSA employees and air traffic controllers, who have now been working for more than a month without a paycheck.

One airport employee is doing what he can to help his coworkers who are working without pay.

De'Andre Davis is the Customer Service Supervisor at Augusta Regional Airport. He told NewsChannel 6 that knowing his coworkers are struggling prompted him to do something about it.
