On Wednesday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in a case pertaining to President Donald Trump’s authority to issue tariffs . A who’s who of D.C. power players attended, including senators Amy Klobuchar and Mike Lee, Treasury secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce secretary Howard Lutnick, and Meta’s president of global affairs, Joel Kaplan, who were all in the public gallery. Trump did not attend, despite previously threatening to show up, but for some reason, a different Saturday Night Live host joined the group: John Mulaney .
Mulaney confirmed his presence on Wednesday by sharing a drawing from C-SPAN’s Howard Mortman of the courtroom layout, which showed the political heavy hitters seated in the front row, while Mulaney sat all the way in the back. He wrote on X, under the photo
