MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Safe Task Force arrested a teenager with a warrant for second-degree murder on Tuesday, the U.S. Marshals Service said.
Around 1:00 Tuesday afternoon, Marshals said, task force members, along with the U.S. Marshals Service Special Operations Group, were sent to Shadcrest Road in Raleigh, where they arrested 19-year-old Martravius Vinson on a charge of second-degree murder.
The Marshals said the task force received the warrant for Vinson's arrest at noon and "had him in custody in one hour."
"It is the mission of the Memphis Safe Task Force to ensure the safety of the Memphis community, and that is what we do by apprehending individuals like this so they can answer to the charges against them," said U.S. Marshals Service Director Gadyaces S. Serralta.
