Work is beginning on the first Sheetz convenience store in Strasburg, with the chain planning to open to the public by mid-2026, according to town officials and company representatives.
Town Director of Planning and Public Services Brian Otis said the project received plan approval June 15 and has obtained all required permits, with work beginning this week. The plans call for a 6,139-square-foot store with gas pumps and limited diesel service, without accommodations for large trucks. The store is being built on Old Valley Pike across from the new Valley Health medical clinic. The former Valley Health clinic is being torn down.
