Sault-Algoma MP Terry Sheehan says he’s hoping to see Canada’s Transport Minister in Sault Ste. Marie before year end to highlight the Port of Algoma project.
Sheehan met with the Hamilton Oshawa Port Authority (HOPA) on Thursday in Ottawa to receive an update on the business plan underway.
“This is a great project. It’s very timely and it can create opportunities during these challenging times,” he told The Sault Star.
HOPA is the largest Canadian port company on the Great Lakes and moves more than $4 billion worth of cargo annually.
