FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - East Allen County Schools (EACS) held its annual ‘Principal for a Day’ event on Thursday.

Community leaders were welcomed into the district from 8 to 11 a.m. as ‘guest principals’.

While the guest principals didn’t ‘dish out discipline’ or choose curriculum, EACS says they were able to participate in a variety of activities, including visiting classrooms, meeting with students and teachers, recess, and more.

According to school officials, the program provides community leaders an opportunity to connect with students while learning about the work of the role and school system.
