While Halloween brings ghoulies and ghosties and other things that go bump in the night, in Gananoque, it also brings the annual Community Harvest for the Gananoque and Area Food Bank, organized by the Cornerstone Church on Highway 32.
“We had 60 volunteers, including from our church and other churches, firefighters from Gan and Lansdowne, and a few from the community, and 8-10 of the team at the Food Bank,” said Pastor Mike Hatheway of Cornerstone Church. “We all met at Linklater (Public) School and split into groups from there.”
After meeting up at the school at 6:30 p.m., volunteers were broken up into eight teams of six to eight people. They were given badges to let people know what they were doing. Volunteers come from all levels of society and all age groups, ranging from age 4 to
