(KRON) -- A California woman who launched a billboard campaign in an effort to land her "Mr. Right" has received a flood of applicants, with men from as far away as Brazil applying to become her spouse.
Lisa Catalano, the woman behind the "Marry Lisa" billboards that have popped up recently along Highway 101 in the Bay Area, spoke to Nexstar's KRON about her search for love.
"I just want to meet somebody," she said. "And I was just not having any luck any other way."
Catalano's billboards, which are running along the freeway from Santa Clara and San Francisco, have raised eyebrows, and apparently, interest. She told NewsNation she received more than 3,800 applications between Sept. 24 and Oct. 15.
