Families approved for Augusta’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program are still waiting for promised help months after they applied.
Days after opening sign-ups for emergency rental and utility assistance, Augusta-Richmond County suspended applications.
The Augusta Department of Housing and Community Development initially said the funds were available through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
The program is similar to one that led to a city scandal earlier this year.
