Residents in the South Euclid - Lyndhurst City School District voted in favor of an additional tax to go toward the city’s school district expenses and operations.
There were 4,339 votes cast, or 56.23%, in favor of the levy while 3,378, or 43.77%, voted against the tax.
The County Fiscal Officer estimates will collect $9,218,490 annually, at a rate not exceeding 7.9 mills (apportioned 6.9 mills to current operating expenses and 1 mill to general permanent improvements) for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $277 for each $100,000 of the County Fiscal Officer’s appraised value, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2025, first due in calendar year 2026.
