Alberta RCMP say a 48-year-old man who was wanted for sex offences against a minor was arrested in Edmonton Thursday.

He will be taken before a Justice of the Peace to determine future court appearances.

Devon RCMP say they first received a report against the accused on Oct. 10.

Following an investigation, Darryl Labrecque was charged with sexual interference with a person under the age of 16; invitation to sexual touching under the age of 16; and breach of release conditions.

Labrecque has a lengthy criminal record. Most recently he was charged with sexual assault, sexual contact with a child, sexual counselling of a child, trafficking of a minor, and impersonating a police officer for alleged
