Fire hydrant repairs lead to boil advisory in Island

MCLEAN CO., Ky. (WFIE) - A boil water advisory has been issued for the entire city of Island.

Officials say fire hydrant repairs impacted water service earlier Thursday.

Residents are urged to boil all water used for drinking, cooking and food preparation.

“We are working closely with the appropriate agencies to conduct water testing, and we will notify the public once the advisory has been lifted,” say city officials.
