Tri-State Food Bank receives $1,000 donation

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Pearls of Distinction Foundation, Inc presented a $1,000 check to Mayor Stephanie Terry and the Tri-State Food Bank.

The donation is to help with efforts fighting food insecurity amid uncertainty about SNAP benefits.

Officials with the Tri-State Food Bank say this donation will help create thousands of meals.

“For every dollar donated to Tri-State Food Bank, we’re able to turn that into six meals,” says Zac Heronemus, Executive Director of Tri-State Food Bank. “When you think about the gap that we’re faced with here and the many households, families that are impacted, it does help.”
