ROCKFORD (WREX) — A Rockford man has been arrested as authorities say an investigation into a large cocaine dealing operation is ongoing.
The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Unit uncovered a significant cocaine distribution operation in the Rockford area, leading to the arrest of 40-year-old Ariel Q. Galindo.
Deputies saw a silver sedan on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the intersection of 23rd St. and 12th Ave., linked to their investigation into the operation. Galindo was identified as the driver and was found with more than 500 grams of cocaine.
The Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office has charged Galindo with Possession with Intent to Deliver 400-900 Grams of Cocaine.
