A rush of winter air is incoming, but thankfully it will be short-lived.

A cold front will chase out showers and even a few thunderstorms overnight, leaving only about a quarter inch of rain at most across the area. We won't be completely done with the wet weather, however.

Friday looks to stay dry, although returning clouds in the afternoon have a slight chance of squeezing out an isolated sprinkle. Otherwise, a bit of morning sun and breezy westerly winds (gusts 30-40 mph) will bring highs back to the low 60s for one more day.

Then temperatures crash over the weekend, with highs in the 40s on Saturday and the 30s Sunday and Monday. Overnight lows Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday mornings will fall into the low 20s!
