“The God We’re Thankful For” is the theme for the sermon series at the Campion Seventh-day Adventist Church, 300 42nd Street SW, Loveland, at 10:45 a.m. Saturdays, Nov. 8, 15 and 22.

Dr. Rodlie Ortiz, the lead pastor, says that many people have wondered what God is really like. Some picture a heavenly Father who’s angry and ready to throw lightning bolts at us when we mess up. He notes that others see a God as seen in Jesus as the friendly one who has to protect us from the angry God. And the Holy Spirit? Many aren’t quite sure what to do with that.
